In the first quarter of 2022, the top five news and magazines apps on the Android platform in Estonia demonstrated diverse performance trends. This data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the weekly downloads of these prominent applications.

Delfi.ee showed a notable increase in weekly downloads, particularly in the week of February 21, where downloads surged to approximately 580. This spike was followed by a decline, with downloads stabilizing around 108 by the end of March. Earlier in the quarter, downloads fluctuated between 77 and 110.

Postimees experienced a significant peak in downloads during the same week as Delfi.ee, reaching around 430. This was followed by a gradual decrease, with weekly downloads settling at about 79 by the end of the quarter. The app started the quarter with downloads ranging from 72 to 94.

ERR saw its highest download figures in the week of February 21, hitting approximately 165. The app's downloads then varied slightly, concluding the quarter with around 110 downloads. Earlier weeks showed a steady pattern, with numbers fluctuating between 60 and 106.

RBC News had a remarkable increase in downloads starting from late February, peaking at around 317 in mid-March. This was followed by a decline, ending the quarter with approximately 156 downloads. Before this surge, the app had no significant download activity.

SQUID - News & Magazines displayed a consistent rise in downloads towards the end of the quarter. Downloads increased from around 21 in early February to approximately 124 by the week of March 21. The app finished the quarter with about 105 downloads.
